Stephens files for reelection for D3 state Senate
State Sen. Blake “Cowboy” Stephens, R-Tahlequah, filed for reelection for District 3 State Senate.
“Serving my neighbors is an honor of a lifetime - and I’ve never missed a day of work serving you, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished," Stephens said.
Stephens co-authored what he calls the "largest tax cut in state history," the grocery sales tax. He said he's visited the southern border and supported legislation to ban sanctuary cities, secure the border and prevent foreign land ownership by the nation’s enemies for illegal drug grows.
"I was one of the first senators to endorse [President Donald Trump] and stand tall for an Oklahoma and America first agenda," he said.
Stephens and his wife, Kathy, own and operate a cattle ranch and have been married for 41-years. Cowboy is a 24-year school counselor, father and "Pa Pa." He is a fourth generation Oklahoman representing Cherokee, Mayes and Rogers counties.
