Sheriff's Reports 11-25-24: Man accused of shooting at another man

A man was arrested after witnesses claimed he allegedly shot toward a another man several times.

On Nov. 14, Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Cohen was dispatched to a shots fired call on Lost City Road wherein a man was accused of shooting at someone with a 38 revolver. Deputies approached the residence and Jaydon Ice came outside. Deputies drew their service weapons and ordered the man to put his hands in the air. Ice was detained and told deputies a man tried to "insert" himself into a conversation he was having with a family member. He said he returned to his residence when a truck drove by slowly. Ice said claimed he never fired a gun at the time. Sgt. Nick Chute advised three people witnessed the incident and wanted to pursue charges. Cohen told Ice he was going to be arrested and asked if they could enter his residence to get the firearm. Ice said deputies couldn't and a search warrant was obtained. Deputies searched the residence and found ammo that went to a 38 revolver. They also found a sawed-off shotgun, and the 38 revolver along with one spent casing in the firearm. One witness claimed Ice said he was going to shoot the man before firing off one shot toward the truck he was in. They said Ice fired three more shots and allegedly said he was going to kill the man. Ice was booked for reckless discharge of a firearm, threats to perform an act of violence, feloniously pointing a firearm, and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

Deputy Cohen was driving westbound on East 690 Road Nov. 9 when he observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lane. The deputy caught up to the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. He met with the driver, who was identified as Kristopher Dallis. He stated he was coming from a friend's house where he said he went there to have a few beers. Dallis had an odor of alcohol coming from his person and Cohen said the man appeared intoxicated. Dallis was arrested after a field sobriety test and was booked for driving under the influence.

On Nov. 10, Deputy Carl Smith was dispatched to reports of a trespassing call on West 864 Road. The caller said Josh Lindholm, Amanda Colston, and another individual were on a man's property. The caller said these individuals were taking things from the property. The deputy was shown video footage of the incident. Smith made contact with Colston and Lindholm crawled out from underneath a truck. Lindholm claimed he took a piece of medal from the residence and showed it to the deputy. Lindholm was arrested and booked for the anticipated charge of second-degree burglary. Colston was also booked for the same charge.

Deputy Justin Richardson responded to Garden Walk apartments Nov. 9 due to reports of suspicious activity. The caller said a vehicle had been parked outside her apartment for a few hours. She added that the person inside the vehicle appeared to be passed out. Richardson approached the vehicle and asked the two individuals what they were doing. Robert Finch and Hope Taylor said they were sleeping because they were homeless. The deputy could see drug paraphernalia in the vehicle as he spoke with the pair. Finch was detained for a possible warrant. He was asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle and he allegedly said there could be some methamphetamine. Dispatch confirmed the warrant and Finch was placed under arrest. Deputies searched the vehicle and found a crystal-like substance and several smoking devices. Taylor was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance while Finch was booked for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and a warrant.

These are arrests, not convictions.
