The Cherokee County Republican Party will meet Monday, April 14, 2025, 6:30 p.m., at the Armory Municipal Center on 100 N. Water St.
Two different Public Affairs groups will be represented to discuss various “hot topics” voters currently ask about. Hallie Milner from the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs (OCPA), and Mark Yates from Cornerstone will speak to the club.
The OCPA is a conservative think tank primarily concerned with statewide issues. Its mission is to promote the flourishing of the people of Oklahoma by advancing principles and policies that support free enterprise, limited government, individual initiative, personal responsibility, and strong families.
Milner serves as a Donor Relations Officer for the OCPA and joined the staff in 2019. Previously, she served as a Communications Associate for OCPA, a legislative reporter in the Oklahoma State Capitol, interned at various PR and Marketing departments in Oklahoma, and worked on seven state and national campaigns. Milner has a B.S. from Oklahoma Christian University and an M.A. from the University of Oklahoma.
Cornerstone is a Public Affairs company that is employee owned and has branches all over the United States. They approach public affairs from a collaborative bipartisan perspective.
Yates joined Cornerstone in July 2021 as a principal in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. His experience in public policy includes working with various industries through statewide campaigns, legislative engagement, media relations, and public speaking. Yates has been successful navigating complex and challenging initiatives on behalf of the clean energy and agriculture industries.
