Police Reports 5-17-24: Man seen allegedly urinating outside gets tased after resisting arrest

On May 13, Tahlequah Police Officer Jess McClure was called to an apartment complex on Crafton Place due to a man who was seen urinating outside. Officers arrived to find an intoxicated Jose Trejo outside of the apartment. Trejo was reportedly uncooperative with officers and refused to comply when they asked him to come speak with them. Officer went to detain the man when he began to tense up and resist them. Officer Brad Baker deployed his Taser but it wasn't effective. McClure then deployed her Taser and Trejo was taken into custody for public intoxication and indecent exposure.


On May 8, Officer Brett Robbins was dispatched to El Zarape for a juvenile who was walking down the street alone. Officers made contact with the boy's mother, Claire Compton, who was arrested for child neglect. The boy was transported to the police department before being released to a family member.


Lt. Matt Frits conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective brake light on May 8. The driver, Ramon Rollice, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and defective vehicle. The report was sent to Cherokee Nation court since Rollice is a tribal member.


On May 11, Officer Ohavyah Soto was on patrol in the area of East Downing Street when she observed a defective brake light to a Dodge Neon. The officer conducted a traffic stop and David Carroll, Peter Yingling, and Amy Caughman were arrested for warrants.


On May 6, Officer Baker responded to West Fox Street for a trespassing report wherein a woman was told to leave a residence several times. Tiffany Sharpe was arrested for trespassing and transported to jail for booking.


Boseaphus Wing was arrested for public intoxication May 7 after Officer Aaron Dorrough conducted a pedestrian stop at X-Press Stop.


On May 7, Christy Allen was arrested for public intoxication after an officer spotted her sitting down in a ditch near State Highway 82 and North Grand Avenue.


Shaynah Jones was arrest May 9 for domestic assault and battery after officers were called to reports of a disturbance at Griffin Avenue.


On May 10, Daxton Lopez was arrested and booked on tribal charges of threats to perform act of violence and public intoxication.


Officer Caleb Murray responded to O'Reilly Auto Parts May 11 due to a vehicle burglary that was in progress. David Allen Lee was arrested for attempted third-degree burglary, malicious injury to property, resisting arrest, obstruction, and public intoxication.


Maureena Troutman and Angelina Rhodes were arrested May 11 for disturbing the peace after officers were called to reports of a disturbance on South Cherokee Avenue.
