OHP: Tahlequah woman injured in Mayes County crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a Tahlequah woman was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash two miles south of Locust Grove.


According to reports, the crash occurred just shortly before 6:15 a.m. and what happened is under investigation. Crystal Crow, 42, was driving a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. She was airlifted to St. John's Hospital in Tulsa and admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal and trunk external injuries.


Erich Kuhnel, 63, of Locust Grove, was driving a 2020 Toyota RAV4 and he reportedly refused medical treatment at the scene, according to the OHP.


Crow was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

He was admitted to a Tulsa hosp. with a cracked sternum, bleeding around it, and severe breathing problem, Why did they say he refused treatment????

He didn’t refuse. He was taken to the Pryor hospital and they decided his injuries needed a better hospital. They transported him to a Tulsa hospital.

That’s my father and he did not refuse treatment. He sustained a cracked sternum, bleeding around it, and a severe breathing problem. He was admitted to a Tulsa hospital. The woman involved drove into his lane and caused the head-on collision.
