The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 21-year-old woman was killed late Monday morning after crashing her vehicle 11 miles east of Westville.

According to reports, Mariela Gonzalez was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty eastbound on U.S. Highway 62, .2 miles east of South 670 Road when she departed the roadway, overcorrected, and departed the roadway a second time. The vehicle struck a ditch and rolled approximately one time. The driver was ejected and Gonzalez was pronounced dead on scene by Adair County EMS.

A 10-month-old boy was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was transported to Springdale Children's Hospital and admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal, and trunk external injuries.
