OHP: two injured in motorcycle v. vehicle crash

Two people from Stilwell were injured in a motorcycle v. vehicle crash nine miles east of Tahlequah Wednesday, Feb. 7.


According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Kenneth Duchesne, 36, was driving a 2017 Harley Davidson on State Highway 51 when he attempted to pass a vehicle in a no passing zone. The motorcycle struck a 2020 Ford Escape that was driven by 41-year-old Jennifer Eubanks.


Duchesne was air lifted to Washington Regional hospital and admitted in stable condition with head, trunk, leg internal and external injuries. Eubanks was taken to W.W. Hastings Hospital where she was treated and released.


Passenger Robin Murphy, 62, was transported by Cherokee Nation EMS to Northeastern Health System and admitted in stable condition with head and trunk internal and external injuries.


According to the OHP, the cause of the crash was improper overtaking in marked zone and Eubanks and Murphy were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
