OHP: Hulbert woman killed, man injured in two-vehicle crash
A 38-year-old woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash that occurred approximately seven miles southwest of Tahlequah just after 4 p.m. Friday
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Miranda R. Cowden was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on U.S. Highway 62 at Stick Ross Mountain Road. Cowden was transported to Northeastern Health System and pronounced dead by hospital personnel from massive injuries.
Jacob Raper, 25, of Hulbert, was driving a 2014 GMC Sierra truck. He was transported to W.W. Hastings Hospital where he was treated and released with trunk internal and arm injuries.
The condition of both drivers and the cause of the crash are under investigation.
According to the OHP, Cowden was not wearing a seat belt while Raper was.
