OHP: Fatal crash under investigation

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the single-vehicle crash happened at Fort Gibson Dam Saturday afternoon.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on State Highway 251A around 4:36 p.m. when the driver failed to negotiate a curve on the east side of Fort Gibson Dam. The vehicle departed the roadway, striking an embankment and became fully engulfed in flames.

The driver’s name has not been released as of late Saturday evening. The OHP said the crash is under investigation.
