OHP: Fatal crash under investigation

A man was killed and two local women were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Thursday morning.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after midnight, 1 mile south of Locust Grove.

The driver of a Toyota Matrix was pronounced dead by MESTA. His name has not been released, pending next of kin notification.

Rebecca Rose, 20, of Tahlequah, was driving a 2024 Toyota Camry. She was transported to Northeastern Health System and admitted in good condition with leg injuries.

Alauradannon Cooks, 23, of Locust Grove was transported to NHS and admitted in good condition with internal trunk injuries. Cooks was a passenger in Rose’s vehicle.

According to the OHP, the crash is under investigation.
