OHP: Cookson man injured in vehicle crash after 'medical incident'
An 80-year-old man was injured in a vehicle crash 13 miles south of Tahlequah Thursday evening after he reportedly suffered a medical incident behind the wheel.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, John Carroll was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound on State Highway 82 when he departed the road and struck a tree.
Carroll was transported to Northeastern Health System and admitted in stable condition for arm and leg injuries.
According to the OHP, the cause of the crash was a medical incident.
