Local man pleads guilty to felon in possession of ammunition

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that a Tahlequah man pleaded guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of ammunition.


Timothy Allen Truelove, 50, knowingly possessed over 100 rounds of ammunition on Jan. 24, 2024 after having been convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year imprisonment.


Charges against Truelove arose after a probe by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service.


Honorable Judge Jason A. Robertson accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.


Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan E. Soverly prosecuted the case.
