ICTC Board candidates to speak at CCRW meeting

The Cherokee County Republican Women will be meeting Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Municipal Armory Municipal Center.


The club meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and CCRW President Carol Sneed Jalbert will announce the appointed positions to the board. The new 2025 officers will be installed.  

 

The Indian Capital Technology Center Board election will be held on April 1, 2025. Indian Capital reaches

seven counties and everyone in the ICTC area is eligible to vote regardless of political affiliation. 


Ginger Knight and Andrew Theodore, the two candidates for a board position, will be speaking during club meeting.

 

After 23 years as an educator at ICTC, Theodore announced he was running for a position on the Indian Capital Technology Center Board of Education. He grew up in Muskogee and graduated from Fort Gibson High School.


Theodore holds a Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology and an Associate’s degree in automotive service technology. He has also completed Masters work in career tech education. Theodore has worked in business and industry for over 35 years.


Knight's 31 years in education includes 11 years as an administrator. She has served as superintendent of Woodall Public Schools. She currently serves as the board member for Zone 5 on the ICTC Board of Education.


Knight has also been on advisory councils, executive committees, and a mentor to educators. She has been recognized as a Masonic Lodge Teacher of Today and Checotah Public Schools Teacher of the Year.


CCRW empower women from all backgrounds in the political process and provides a forum for women to serve as leaders in political, governmental, and civic arenas. They support all Republican candidates in the primary process and also invite candidates in non-partisan races to speak.


Their goal is to be informed voters. If anyone has any questions about the Republican Women's Club or if they are a Republican candidate and want to come speak to the club, they can call Sneed Jalbert at 417-847-7427.


CCRW meet every third Tuesday of the month at the Municipal Armory in Room 1. The club meets at 10:00 a.m. and the program begins at 11:00 a.m. Anyone interested is asked to attend the meeting. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.


The Cherokee County Republican Party meets the second Monday each month at room 1 in the Armory at 6:30 p.m. All Republicans registered in Cherokee County are invited to attend. Anyone with questions about the club can contact Cherokee County Republican Chair Sneed-Jalbert, at 417-847-7427.
