Cherokee County Democratic Party to meet Tuesday, March 4

The Cherokee County Democratic Party is meeting Tuesday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center.


Guest speaker Jeff Thorne will be speaking about the work of the community organization "Step Up Tahlequah" in establishing transitional family housing in the area.


Tuesday's meeting will also cover upcoming organizational conventions of the Oklahoma Democratic Party.


  1. Cherokee County Democratic Party Precinct Convention- Thursday March 20, at 7p.m. at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center.

  2. Cherokee County Democratic Party County Convention- Saturday April 12, at 2 p.m. at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center.

  3. Oklahoma Democratic Party Congressional District 2 Convention- anticipated date in May.

  4. Oklahoma Democratic Party State Convention- Saturday and Sunday June 28-29, 2025 in Broken Arrow, at 200 W. Albany St.


CCDP invites all Democrats and citizens of good will to come and hear Thorne speak.


As is the CCDP custom, they will gather non-perishable food items to donate to local food pantries to assist the less fortunate among the community. Those planning on attending Tuesday's meeting are asked to bring a food donation.
