Cherokee County Democratic Party to meet Tuesday, conventions announced

The Cherokee County Democratic Party is meeting Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center.

Shiloh Kantz, executive director of the Oklahoma Policy Institute, will be speaking Tuesday afternoon. Kantz has a decade of policy and advocacy experience, and is committed to Oklahoma Policy's non-partisan focus on helping all Oklahomans have the opportunity to live healthy lives, raise thriving families, and live in safe communities.

The CCDP shares those ideals and looks for ways to support common sense approaches to the challenges faced by Oklahoma’s educational system, healthcare delivery system and eliminating barriers to good, well-paying employment opportunities.

CCDP invites all Democrats and citizens of good will to come and hear Kantz as they prepare for a new legislative session and seek opportunities to work together to improve the lives of Oklahoma families.

As is the CCDP custom, they will gather non-perishable food items to donate to local food pantries to assist the less fortunate among the community. Those planning on attending Tuesday's meeting are asked to bring a food donation.

Anyone with questions can email the CCDP at ccdemsweb@gmail.com.
