Cherokee Co. deputy dies after horse-riding accident
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has announced that one of their own, Deputy McKinsey Fuson, died Sunday, Oct. 29.
Sheriff Jason Chennault made the announcement on the CCSO Facebook page Monday morning.
"Deputy Fuson passed away yesterday after being injured in an off-duty horse-riding accident near her home in Adair County the previous weekend," Chennault said.
Fuson worked with the Adair County Sheriff's Office in 2018 before she was began working for CCSO in 2021. She worked as a patrol deputy and a school resource deputy at CCSO.
"Missed, always but forgotten, never," Chennault said.
