BREAKING: suspect arrested after three shot, two killed

Tahlequah Police Chief Nate King confirmed that three people were shot Wednesday evening at a residence on Choctaw Street.


Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the residence after reports that three people were shot.


The suspect, who has been identified as Jordan Hensley, fled on foot.


King confirmed that two of the victims area dead and the third was transported to the hospital.


Law enforcement quickly set up a perimeter in the area, looking for Hensley. His whereabouts were unknown for a significant amount of time before he was reportedly spotted at Braum's on East Downing Street.


The suspect reportedly struck an officer in the face when she identified him and he fled on foot.


Hensley was reportedly spotted on Grand Avenue and was taken into custody.


Northeastern State University Police advised people on a campus alert post via Facebook and email to stay indoors and to report any suspicious activity in the area.


The triple shooting is under investigation.
