BREAKING: Officers escape injury after woman shot ‘toward’ them
Tahlequah Police Chief Nate King said a wanted woman shot toward officers during a disturbance call.
On June 12, officers Dylan Harman and Bruce Gower were called to Larry Avenue at 8:15 p.m. due to reports of a disturbance that in involved Laura Carroll.
"Officers knocked on the door at apartment 3 and Laura opened the door and fired a single shot out the door toward officers," King said.
Both officers escaped injury and were able to disarm Carroll. She was taken into custody and King said her anticipated charges are reckless handling of a firearm and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
